A Milestone for Sustainable Golf in Canada
Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club Achieves GEO Certification

At Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club, efforts like restoring salmon habitats, supporting pollinators, adopting autonomous electric mowers, and using advanced data for irrigation management show how sustainability can be thoughtfully built into daily operations. The result - small, practical improvements that reduce resource use, lower costs and improve efficiency, while supporting environmental responsibility and maintaining exceptional playing conditions. |

"Becoming a GEO Certified® course is an accomplishment that reflects our club's commitment to the responsible stewardship of these lands. It is an achievement that both our members and staff can take pride in, and I would like to sincerely thank the many current and past staff whose hard work and dedication over several years made this possible." "This certification is really a credit to our entire team and the many sustainability practices that have taken shape across the Club over the past several years. We are proud of what this represents for Shaughnessy and honoured to be the first course in BC to achieve GEO Certified status." |
