CGSA Annouces New Board

Calgary, AB - The Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association took place on Wednesday, February 25. There were several elections and CGSA is pleased to announce it's new board for the 2026 - 2027 year;  

 

  • President, Tyler McComas, Superintendent, The Willows Club
  • Vice-President, Cameron Kusiek, Superintendent, Carnmoney Golf & Country Club
  • Alberta Director, Chris Prodahl, Superintendent, Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club
  • Manitoba Director, Dustin How, AGS, Southwood Golf and Country Club
  • Atlantic Director, Matthew Blackburn, AGS, Chester Golf Club

Returning Directors are:

  • Past President, Braydon Gilbert, AGS, Superintendent, St. Charles Country Club
  • Saskatchewan Director, Lance Wakefield, Superintendent, Royal Regina Golf Club
  • British Columbia Director, T-Jay Creamer, AGS, Superintendent, Olympic View Golf
  • Ontario Director, Colin Young, Superintendent, Beacon Hall Golf Club

The Quebec Director position remains vacant at this time. CGSA is committed to filling this position as soon as possible.

Several reports were presented during the AGM, including the President's Report, Chief Executive Officer Report and Treasurers Report.

"We are pleased to report a year-end surplus of $65,050; marking the ninth consecutive year of positive financial results," said Tyler McComas, CGSA President. “As we celebrate CGSA's 60th anniversary, we are proud to honour our history and six decades of accomplishments while continuing to evolve and build our future.”

About Tyler McComas

Tyler is the Superintendent at The Willows Club. Prior to The Willows, Tyler was the Superintendent at Dakota Dunes Golf Links, Greenbryre Golf & Country Club and was the Assistant at Dakota Dunes Golf Links froom 2008 - 2011. Tyler has been a CGSA member since 2010 and joined the Board of Directors in 2021. When Tyler is not working, his wife Robin and he are chasing their two daughters Ella and Lily to hockey rinks somewhere.

The association has long been a valued part of my career, and I look forward to advocating on behalf of our members,” said Tyler McComas, President. “With the support of the Board of Directors, we will continue to explore new ideas and initiatives that deliver meaningful value and continue to move our profession forward.”
