We’ve compiled a few notes for the Canadian: Deep Roots Bright Future to make your time in Calgary enjoyable.

Locations and Getting There
All education sessions, equipment technicians’ program, Opening SociALL and Trade Show will be held at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre, North Building, 136 8 Ave SE. Telephone number is 403-261-8500.
The Hyatt Regency is connected to the Telus via indoor walkway.
New this year is the Assistant Superintendent and First Timers Lounge located in the pre-function area of the convention centre, 2nd floor. Take advantage of the lounge area and network with your colleagues.
60th - CGSA is proud to kick off our 60th anniversary at the conference. Join fellow members as we celebrate our shared history, enjoy vintage memorabilia and swap stories that celebrate the evolution of our profession.
The Awards Lunch will be held in the Imperial Ballroom at the Hyatt Hotel, 3rd floor. You require a ticket for this event.
The Wednesday Night party will be held off-site at the Greta Bar - 213 10 Ave SW. You require a ticket for this event.
The Calgary Telus Convention Centre is located about 20 minutes from the Calgary Airport.
During your time in Calgary, take advantage of the Plus 15 Skywalk Network that stretches over 15 kilometres of interconnected sheltered pedestrian walkways. The C-Train line is free to ride within the downtown area.
The Hyatt Regency Hotel offers underground, valet-only parking for approximately $46/day with a height restriction of 6' 6". Alternate parking is available in the convention centre parkade. 727 1 Street SE which has self parking for over 430 cars. The daily rate is $25/day.

Registration Desk and Credential Pick Up
Your registration package will be available at the registration area, located in the pre-function foyer, North Building, 2nd floor. Your package will include your name badge as well as any event tickets that you have with your package or have purchased individually. You must have your badge for entry to all events and sessions.
The registration desk will open officially on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:00 am and will be open until 5:00 pm. It will open at 7:00 am during the conference.
Don’t forget to bring job postings for the job board. Be sure to visit the job board near registration if you are looking for work.
PLEASE NOTE if you have a food allergy we need to advise the catering staff ASAP. Please let Kathryn Wood (kwood@golfsupers.com) know at your very earliest convenience so we can ensure a pleasant and safe dining experience.
Dress
Dress for the event is business or golf casual. We appreciate no jeans and no head gear in the sessions. We also ask that you remember to turn your mobile devices to silent or vibrate. The Opening SociALL is business casual or golf attire. Attire for the Awards Ceremony is the same. The Wednesday Night party is casual attire.
There will be coat racks at the convention centre. Please note CGSA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Continuing Education Credits
The main conference education program begins on Tuesday, February 24 at 8:00 am with the Opening Ceremonies in Hall E; concurrent sessions will run following that in Hall E, D and Telus Room 104. If you are interested in obtaining your provincial IPM and/or pesticide license recertification credits you will need to ENSURE you sign the forms at the END of each SESSION. You will still need to track your own attendance at the sessions, but this is the back-up that gets sent to the various agencies verifying your attendance at the session.
Here is a look at the CEC options for all Education Sessions (more will be added as approvals are received).
Trade Show
This year the trade show will be held in Hall C which is located near the registration desk. Industry Presentations will be held simultaneously in Hall D.
Dedicated trade show time starts Wednesday, February 25 at 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. Lunch will be available as well as the Industry Sessions, so you can continue learning during your time in the show. There will be the opportunity to get a professional headshot during the trade show from 12:00 pm - 1:30pm. A cash bar will also be available on the show floor.
Be sure to visit the Online Auction which starts on Tuesday at 9:00 am and closes on Thursday at 1:00 Pacific Mountain Time. You will be notified by email if you are the winning bidder. Some items will be available to pick up at registration.
SUITCASING PROHIBITED
Suit-casing is a practice on the part of any attendee who is observed to be soliciting business in the aisle or other public spaces, in another company's booth, or in violation of any portion of the exhibition policy. In order to distribute information to and conduct business with attendees, you must have a booth on the trade show floor. All materials must be distributed from the booth and not in the public areas of the hotel. Should you be in violation of this policy you will be asked to leave and no refund will be issued.
CGSA AGM
The CGSA Annual General Meeting is Wednesday, February 25 at 5:00 pm for CGSA members. All members must check-in with staff and only voting members will get a voting card.
