CGSA Executive Director, Jeff Calderwood Recognized During NGCOA US Conference

ETOBICOKE ON - CGSA Executive Director, Jeff Calderwood was recognized at the National Golf Course Owners Association US annual Golf Business Conference Celebration and Awards Dinner in San Antonio, TX last evening.  Calderwood, alongside NGCOA Canada's founding president Mark Seabrook were recognized as recipients of the Paul Porter Award.  The award recognizes an NGCOA member who left an enduring mark on a national or international affiliate through the highest level of commitment, service and leadership.   This was the first time the award was presented to an individual or group from outside of the United States.

"Associations are indeed about the programs and services provided to a membership, but it all happens because of people with a heart and a head for the mission," says Jay Karen, Chief Executive Officer of NGCOA.  "No duo in golf have been more important and impressive than Mark and Jeff, as evidenced by the success of NGCOA Canada.  What they built has served as inspiration for all of us in the North American and European NGCOA family for many years."

Along with his role as CGSA Executive Director, Jeff maintains his role at the NGCOA Canada as their CEO.
