“The Lanigan Golf Club and the board of directors took a chance on me as a young superintendent,” Mr. Robertson noted during his acceptance speech. “They welcomed me as part of the community and gave me the career that I love.”

Mr. Robertson also highlighted the hard work done by all superintendents and staff even though it is not always recognized, and encouraged the community to continue providing opportunities to the next generation of new superintendents.

Mr. Robertson was given the award on March 2, 2021 during the Canadian Golf Course Management Conference.
