CGSA and BCGSA Announce New Partnership

CGSA to Provide Administration Services for the
British Columbia Golf Superintendents Association
 
And Announcement of a New Staff Member to Fill This Role
 
 
The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) and the British Columbia Golf Superintendents Association (BCGSA) have agreed on a management contract that will see the CGSA conduct the administration of the BCGSA.
 
CGSA will begin administrative services effective January 1, 2023 under the direction of the BCGSA Board of Directors. Each association will maintain their autonomy as independent organizations however will share resources such as administrative talent and the CGSA’s new Association Management System. This agreement also sees the addition to CGSA’s staff complement and is pleased to announce the hiring of Miranda Robinson as BCGSA Manager and CGSA Communications Manager.
Miss Robinson will work full time as a CGSA employee who will oversee all BCGSA activities alongside the current CGSA staff and will also take on the role of CGSA Communications Manager. Her previous experience as a Superintendent, involvement in BCGSA’s Professional Development Days and speaking engagements will serve both associations well coupled with her dedication and passion for this industry helped to solidify her as an excellent candidate for this role.
 
“Following the announcement of long time BCGSA Executive Administrator Ginny Tromp’s retirement the BCGSA set out to find the best solution for our association. After a very thorough search we recognized that CGSA is an excellent fit to take on our association administration,” said Warren Blue, BCGSA President. He continued, “We worked with the CGSA to assist in selecting the candidate that would become our BCGSA Manager. I would like to thank both the search committee and my fellow Board members for their hard work on this partnership.”
 
“I thank the BCGSA Board of Directors for their foresight and enthusiasm to have the CGSA become their partner and to handle the administration of their association. We believe that this alignment will bring our industry closer together and provide more efficient and cost-effective services for the benefit of all members,” said CGSA President, Pierre Vezeau, AGS. 
 
The administration contract as well as Miss Robinson’s start date will be January 1, 2023.
