CGSA and MGSA Announce New Partnership
Mississauga, ON – The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) and the Manitoba Golf Superintendents Association (MGSA) have agreed on a management contract that will see the CGSA conduct the administration of the MGSA.
CGSA will begin administrative services effective September 1, 2020 under the direction of the MGSA Board of Directors. Each association will maintain their autonomy as independent organizations however will share resources such as administrative talent and the CGSA’s new Association Management System.
“We are pleased that the CGSA will be taking on our administration. MGSA recognized that the option of working with the national body is of benefit to our membership. The skill set and abilities of the CGSA will help to grow our association,” said Braydon Gilbert, AGS, MGSA President. He continued, “During the transition, we appreciate the understanding of our members as we phase in these new services to better serve their needs. I would also like to thank Dustin How and his search committee for their hard work on this partnership.”
“It is a great opportunity for CGSA and the MGSA. I thank the MGSA Board of Directors for their foresight and enthusiasm to reach out to the CGSA to discuss this partnership. Both associations believe that this alignment will bring our industry closer together and provide more efficient services for the benefit of all members,” said CGSA President, Darren Kalyniuk.
It is anticipated that the full transition will be completed by November 1, 2020.
