Mississauga, ON – The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Colin Young to the Board of Directors as Ontario Director, effective immediately. Young will be filling the remaining term of Jordan Kitchen, who has stepped down due to personal reasons.
Kitchen has been a dedicated and valued member of the board since 2023. CGSA extends its appreciation for his service and commitment.
Braydon Gilbert, AGS, President of CGSA, expressed gratitude to Jordan Kitchen’s service and welcomed Colin Young. "We sincerely thank Jordan for his dedication and leadership during his tenure. His thoughtful and insightful contributions have been very much appreciated, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors. At the same time, we are excited to welcome Colin Young to our board. We are looking forward to him sharing his perspective and knowledge as we continue to move forward."
Colin Young also shared enthusiasm about joining the board. "It is an honour to step into this role and support the mission of CGSA. I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members and contributing to the important work and activities of the organization." Colin has been a member of the association since 2004 and before moving to his current role as Superintendent at Beacon Hall Golf Course in 2021 he was Superintendent at The Club at North Halton and Lebovic Golf Club.
