Upcoming Championship Information

October 25-28 is the  PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada presented by Callaway Golf at Lookout Point Golf & Country Club, Fonthill, ON. Aldo Bortolon, AGS who is the Superintendent at Lookout Point Golf & Country Club and a CGSA member since 1983 is hosting this PGA of Canada event.   

October 3-6 was the RBC PGA Scramble at Cabot Cape Breton, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Bradley Allen, AGS & James Bryce are the Superintendents and hosted this PGA of Canada event.   Bradley has been a member of CGSA since 2001 and James since 2011.

This was Uplands Golf Club's 19th Tour event. The first event was back in 1984 with the likes of Craig Stadler and Bob Tway in the field. 

September 27-October 3 was the Reliance Properties DCBank Open Presented by Times Colonist at Uplands Golf Club in Victoria, British Columbia.  Brian Youell, MS, AGS who is the Superintendent at Uplands Golf Club and a CGSA member since 1993 hosted this Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada event.

September 22-24 was the Canadian All Abilities Championship at Humber Valley Golf Club, Toronto, Ontario.  Mariusz Grabowski who is the Superintendent at Humber Valley Golf Club and a CGSA member since 2003 hosted this Golf Canada event.  

September 13-19 was the ATB Financial Classic at Country Hills Golf & Country Club, Calgary, AB.  Scott MacArthur who is the Superintendent at Country Hills Golf & Country Club and a CGSA member since 1998 is hosted this Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada event.

September 13-15 was the PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada Presented by Callaway Golf at The Winston Golf Club, Calgary, AB. Cory Brown who is the Superintendent at The Winston Golf Club and a CGSA member since 1999 hosted this PGA of Canada event.

August 29-September 3 was the Golf Canada Junior Selection Camp at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course), Caledon, ON.  David Hunter who is the Superintendent at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (North Course) and a CGSA member since 2019 hosted this Golf Canada event.

August 29-31 was the DCM PGA Women's Championship of Canada at the Oshawa Golf Club, Oshawa, ON. Matthew Booth who is the Superintendent at the Oshawa Golf Club and a member of the CGSA since 2019 hosted this PGA of Canada Championship. To view his profile, please click here

August 23-29 was the Prince Edward Island Open at Dundarave Golf Course, Brudenell, PE. Fred Forshner who is the Superintendent at Dundarave Golf Course and a CGSA member since 1995 hosted this Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada event.    

August 16-22 was the Osprey Valley Open at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (Heathlands Course), Caledon, ON.  Scott Brook who is the Superintendent at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley (Heathlands Course) and a CGSA member since 2019 hosted this Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada event.  Incredible work by Superintendent Scott Brook and his hard-working team to create outstanding course conditions, see photo

August 11-15 was the Shaw Charity Classic at Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club, Calgary, AB. Ken MacKenzie, AGS who has been the Superintendent at Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club for 19 years is an Accredited Golf Superintendent with the CGSA as well as a long-time member since 1984 has more than 38 years’ experience in the golf industry has hosted this PGA Tour Champions event since 2013!

The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) represents approximately 1,000 individuals at the national level across Canada. Its mandate is to support and promote the profession and to provide education and research resources for golf course managers.

As part of the ongoing effort to recognize the role of the superintendent at the golf facility, the CGSA sponsors the National Tournament Program for members that host these prestigious events. Our members are an essential part of the team that ensures that the golf course provides fair and consistent conditions for competition.
