CGSA Announces Beacon Hall as Fall Field Day Location for 2023

Beacon Hall Fall Field Day
posted on Sep 28, 2022
The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) is pleased to announce the 2023 Fall Field Day National Championship will visit Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Our host superintendent for the event is Colin Young. CGSA had previously scheduled the Fall Field Day event at Beacon Hall Golf Club in September 2020, however had to cancel due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Beacon Hall Golf Club is an 18-hole private golf club located just north of Toronto in the Town of Aurora. Beacon Hall was designed by Bob Cupp. It opened in 1988 and has kept the membership capped at 260. The course has been ranked in the top 10 by the Score Golf Top 100 Golf Courses in Canada and has been since it’s eligibility in 1990.

The club has traditionally been closed for outside play. As part of its 10th Anniversary in 1998, Beacon Hall hosted two outside events; The Canadian Open President’s Invitational and the Ontario Men’s Amateur Championship. The Copa de las Americas was hosted there in 2007 and has been the only other outside event. Based on this you’ll want to make sure that you register to reserve your spot in the 2023 Fall Field Day.

“CGSA is truly privileged to be able to play this outstanding private course. We were disappointed that due to Covid-19 we could not host our 2020 event here; we are grateful that Beacon Hall is welcoming us in 2023. I look forward to the Fall Field Day each year and heading to this club will definitely be special,” said Pierre Vezeau, AGS, CGSA President.

As part of the overall Fall Field Day event, there will be a 9-hole golf experience in the area and an educational session that will also take place. Please visit our website or follow our Twitter account for registration and sponsorship details as they come available.
