The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Morton to the Board of Directors as Quebec Director, effective immediately. Morton will be filling the remaining term as Quebec Director. CGSA’s previous President from Quebec, John Scott, AGS was filling in until a replacement was found following the resignation of Luc Ladouceur due to personal commitments.
Tyler McComas, Vice President of CGSA, expressed gratitude to both Luc Ladouceur and John Scott, AGS for their service and welcomed Alan to the Board of Directors. “We are incredibly grateful to John Scott, AGS for stepping in and providing steady leadership while we searched for a new Director from Quebec. His support and contributions during this transitional period have been sincerely appreciated. We also extend our thanks to Luc Ladouceur, who previously stepped down after serving as a valued member of the Board for over four years. His dedication and commitment over the years were truly appreciated. At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Alan Morton to the Board. We look forward to the insights and experience he brings as we continue to move forward.”
Alan Morton shared “I’m honoured to have the opportunity to represent Golf Course Superintendents from La Belle Province. I look forward to working with the team of board members and bringing my enthusiasm and passion for our profession to the table. Je suis fière de représenter mes collègues de Québec au CA de L’association des Surintendants de Golf Canadien.” Alan has been a member of the association for a number of years both as an Industry Affiliate and Superintendent. He is currently the Superintendent at Club de Golf Valleyfield located in Sallaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec.
