The Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association took place on Thursday, February 23. There were several elections and CGSA is pleased to announce it's new board for the 2023 - 2024 year;
- President, Dustin Zdan, AGS, Superintendent, Blackhawk Golf Club
- Vice President, John McLinden, Superintendent, Toronto Ladies' Golf Club
- Saskatchewan Director, Tyler McComas, Superintendent, Dakota Dunes Golf Links
- Alberta Director, Cameron Kusiek, Superintendent, Carnmoney Golf & Country Club
- Ontario Director, Jordan Kitchen, AGS, Superintendent, Hamilton Golf & Country Club
- British Columbia Director, T-Jay Creamer, AGS, Superintendent, Olympic View Golf Club
Returning Directors are:
- Past President, Pierre Vezeau, AGS, Superintendent, Cooke Municipal Golf Course
- Quebec Director, Luc Ladouceur, Superintendent, Le Club Laval-Sur-Le-Lac
- Atlantic Director, Matthew Blackburn, Chester Golf Club
- Manitoba Director, Braydon Gilbert, AGS, St. Charles Country Club
The Secretary Treasurer will be appointed at the next Board of Directors meeting.
Several reports were presented during the AGM, including the President's Report, Chief Executive Officer Report and Secretary Treasurers Report.
"With the ongoing challenges Covid 19 has presented us with we are able to confirm a minimal surplus; marking the sixth year of positive year end results," said Dustin Zdan, AGS, CGSA President.
During the AGM, CGSA was pleased to announce the 2022 scholarship winners and acknowledged the 25, 30, 40 and 50 year members.
About Dustin Zdan, AGS
Dustin is the Superintendent at Blackhawk Golf Club in Edmonton, Alberta. He has been a member of the CGSA since 1996, and has been on the Board of Directors since 2015. He was also President of the AGSA in 2014 and was the recipient of the Walter Gooder Distinguished Service Award in 2020. Dustin's other career stops include St. Charles Golf & Country Club in Winnipeg, Mountain View Golf Club in Whitehorse, Yukon and Connaught Golf Club in Medicine Hat. Dustin enjoys spending his spare time with his wife Kara and their 3 daughters, Delainey, Holly & Erin.
