New Summer Shamble Announced

June 2024
posted on Nov 23, 2023

The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) announced today a new event that will take place in June 2024. This event will complement its annual Fall Field Day and is intended to visit an opposite location to the Fall Field Day.

The inaugural event is planned for June 26, 2024 at Chester Golf Club in Chester, Nova Scotia. The host superintendent is Matthew Blackburn a Nova Scotia native and CGSA’s Atlantic Director. This location is a perfect complement to the 2024 Fall Field Day planned for Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club in Vancouver, British Columbia in September.

“We are excited to offer this new event and opportunity to network for our members across the country. I know I’m looking forward to visiting the area and enjoying an authentic east coast experience,” said Dustin Zdan, AGS CGSA President.

The event is planned to be a relaxed and fun experience while still providing outstanding education and networking opportunities. We encourage you to bring someone from your club to participate along with you. The Shamble format is sure to be fun for everyone who attends, and the area affords some tourist attractions as well as excellent golf.

Details are being confirmed regarding attendance and sponsorship so please be sure to watch CGSA’s social media and website for more information.
