CGSA Announces New Board of Directors
Niagara Falls, ON - The Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association took place on Wednesday, February 26. There were several elections and CGSA is pleased to announce it's new board for the 2025 - 2026 year;
- President, Braydon Gilbert, AGS, Superintendent, St. Charles Country Club
- Vice President, Tyler McComas, Superintendent, The Willows Club
- Alberta Director, Cameron Kusiek, Superintendent, Carnmoney Golf & Country Club
- British Columbia Director, T-Jay Creamer, AGS, Superintendent, Olympic View Golf
- Saskatchewan Director, Lance Wakefield, Superintendent, Royal Regina Golf Club
Returning Directors are:
- Past President, John McLinden, AGS, Superintendent, Toronto Ladies' Golf Club
- Manitoba Director, Dustin How, AGS, Southwood Golf and Country Club
- Atlantic Director, Matthew Blackburn, Chester Golf Club
- Quebec Director, John Scott, AGS, Superintendent, Summerlea Golf and Country Club
- Ontario Director, Jordan Kitchen, AGS
Several reports were presented during the AGM, including the President's Report, Chief Executive Officer Report and Secretary Treasurers Report.
"We are thrilled to inform the membership of a surplus of $104,426; marking the eighth year of positive year end results," said Braydon Gilbert, AGS, CGSA President. “The CGSA Board of Directors will continue this momentum and have great plans for 2025."
About Braydon Gilbert, AGS
Braydon is the Superintendent at St. Charles Country Club – he joined the club in 2006 as an Assistant Superintendent and became Superintendent in 2012. Prior to St. Charles he spent 6 years at the Calgary Golf and Country Club. Braydon has been a CGSA member since 2003 and joined the Board of Directors in 2019.
“It is such a privilege to follow in the footsteps of so many great leaders as the 57th President of the CGSA. Membership in the CGSA has been such a big part of my professional life and I look forward to an exciting year representing the membership," said Braydon Gilbert, AGS. "The Board of Directors has many exciting initiatives and ideas under discussion and as a group we all look forward to continuing to progress and provide as much value as possible to those in the golf management profession." When not at the golf club Braydon spends most of his time with his wife Christin and 4 children Lyla, Roslynne, Esmae and Bennett.
